After 20 years of working in the field and running some of the largest flooring projects in Hawaii, Ricky Miyamoto and Jason Shizuru decided to start their own flooring business which emphasized quality, service, and family. In 2002 they started In Line Flooring and ran the company out of a small two-bedroom house in Palolo Valley. After servicing the residential market for a couple years, In Line Flooring landed a big hotel project, which moved us from a living room office and single car-port storage to a warehouse in Halawa.
Ricky and Jason thought that the hotel job was going to set up In Line Flooring, but after the project was done, we were more in debt. Then the Financial Crisis of 2008 happened and in 2013 Jason passed away from cancer. It was not an easy road, but In Line Flooring kept focusing on being the best company to work for and to work with.
